Laugh Your Face Off at the Laugh Factory & Enjoy Treats for Your Tastebuds from Delightful Pastries & Cafe
On January 15, 2015, Pat and Amy Tomasulo will be hosting Laugh Your Face Off, a comedy Fund Raiser benefiting The Facial Pain Research Foundation (www.facingfacialpain.org) presented by Bob Rohrman Auto Group. The event will take place at 7:00PM at The Laugh Factory, 3175 North Broadway in Chicago. Guests will enjoy light bites from Delightful Pastries & Café including assorted quiche bites, canapés, mini sandwiches, brownies and eclairs, along with a cash bar. Delightful Pastries & Cafe Owner Dobra Bielinksi commented, “This event will use laughter and sweetness to raise awareness about this horrifying disease that effects so many people.”
100% of the proceeds will go to The Facial Pain Research Foundation, which has provided seed funding for more than three research projects aimed at discovering a cure for a very rare and debilitating condition, trigeminal neuralgia, and related conditions. Pat Tomasulo, the event’s host and one of the scheduled comedic performers, has personal experience with the disease as his wife has suffered from its devastating effects for years. The pain from this incurable disease is so intense, that many doctors refer to it as “the suicide disease.”
“My goal is to bring attention to this rare neurological disorder. Research funds can be limited for diseases that affect a minority of the population, so I am using my celebrity and my sense of humor to help my wife and the roughly 400,000 people in the U.S. whose lives have been impacted by the disease,” says Mr. Tomasulo.
